Bigger is better

well the photos are taking way to long to upload, I guess when you are using someone elses web access what can you expect. the last couple of days we have been hanging out in Nebraska visiting some of their "Worlds largest" displays. in ogallala there were the worlds largest Private collection of Lilac bushes, in north platte there was the worlds largest classification yard, the bailey yard handles 15,000 rail cars every 24 hours and of those 3000 are re-classified on to 114 different tracks where they are assigned to a new destination. actually very interesting www.goldenspiketower.com and did you know that arbor day was started in nebraska at the summer home of the morton salt guy. they also have no parking accommodations for a truck pulling a 5th wheel, thus the new addition to the dents the truck and trailer seem to keep acquiring under my command. but I got even in kind of an ironic fashion, after driving down a lovely tree lined (very narrow) street I found that there was no place to park or turn around and thus proceded to back up and run over a tree on the very spot where arbor day was started. we still have a chunk of the branch hanging on the wind sheild wiper.

  1. You'll go to any lengths for a unique souvenir, won't you? I'll check out the train yard later in the daylight. Keep a journal of where all the dents were acquired, they'll be great for "show and tell."
